Who We Are

The Agassiz Centre for Education is part of School District 78 (Fraser Cascade) and is a public school offering Ministry of Education funded courses.  We offer both Adult and Alternate programs.

The Adult programs are open to BC residents older than 19 years of age, and lead to an Adult Dogwood upon completion.  Our students have ranged in age from 19 - 64 years old, so it is open to anyone desiring to complete high school or do some upgrading.

Our Alternate program provides a blend of life skills and the same academic courses available in other high schools.  It is self-paced, with smaller class sizes and individualized programs, making it more desirable for those who prefer not to study in a larger school.  Students may be recommended if they are not achieving success in other schools, but may also come to the school by choice.  Contact us for further details.

ACE is partnered with Seabird College.  We can offer the academic courses toward your Dogwood, while they provide a variety of trades and certificate programs.  These programs include a variety of trades in construction, oil industry, esthetics, and business.  A complete list of programs will be available on this site soon, but in the meantime, brochures can be picked up at ACE.

Non-Aboriginal students are welcome to be part of this program.  Funding may be available for anyone under 19 years of age as of July 1 of this year, so there will be no tuition for those eligible for the funding.

Aboriginal students may qualify for funding regardless of age, though some restrictions may apply.

Agassiz Legion Needs Help

CTV's Michele Brunoro did a great story on the struggles of our Legion and how devastating the loss of the hall would be to ACE.  Watch it here.
